Choir Director (PART TIME):
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next Choir Director.
Rate: Up to $20 per hour; dependent on experience
Location: Northeast Calgary
About the Role:
The Choir Director role is responsible for directing, planning, and leading instrumental and vocal performances by musical artists or groups, such as bands, choirs, and praise teams; or create original works of music.
This position reports directly to the Senior Administrative Pastor.
Responsibilities:
– Adapt and modify musical compositions
– Select and interpret musical works
– Provide religious education, spiritual guidance and moral support
– Lead bands, orchestras and choirs during rehearsals and performances
– Create musical compositions
– Pray and promote spirituality by delivering sermons and other talks

Requirements:
– Minimum of Three Years Experience
– Professional certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
– Must be experienced in keyboard/piano, or any stringed musical instruments
– Must be familiar with native, ethnic, cultural and gospel genres of music
– Being familiar with the following languages; Shona, Zulu, Igbo, Yoruba, Bini, Lingala, Swahili (is an asset)

AV (audiovisual) Technician (PART TIME):
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to be an integral contributor in our Technical & Media Department
Rate: Up to $50 per hour; dependent on experience
Location: Northeast Calgary
About the Role:
The Audio-Visual Technician position is vital to the success of every day church events. As part of one of the largest media-ministries in Alberta, we incorporate media into just about every aspect of our ministry efforts. When the needs of any ministry outside of the main sanctuary are necessary, the A/V team works to equip the rooms and spaces with the required A/V equipment to ensure the highest quality of presentation.
This position reports directly to the Head Technical & Media Department.
Responsibilities:
– Properly setup, operate, remove, store, and maintain all AV equipment for meetings/events
– Familiarize self with the building, its equipment, policies, programs and services, as well as the day-today schedule of events
– Ensure the setup and storage of A/V equipment after all events as well as keeping the storage areas organized
– Read and interpret room diagrams with respect to AV setups
– Troubleshoot A/V equipment and facilitate repairs when warranted
– Awareness of and adherence to safety, security protocols and emergency procedures
– Provide basic instruction on the operation of AV equipment as necessary to support the ministries and departments we serve
– Clean and maintain A/V equipment, report damages and misuse to the Head of Technical & Media Department
– Handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
– Other duties as assigned
– Familiarize self with the building, its equipment, policies, programs and services, as well as the day-today schedule of events

Requirements:
– 2 years minimum experience in the industry-related field working in multi-room setups, dealing with Audio, Video and Lighting.
– Experience must includes signal flow, troubleshooting, electrical understanding, customer service.
